Netter Real Estate Inc
James A Netter established Netter Real Estate over forty years ago after working with and being trained by his father, a well-known and respected member of the real estate community on Long Island for many years. Jim worked at his father's Babylon office for several years before deciding to branch out on his own, targeting Lindenhurst to Sayville as his primary listing and sales territory. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, New York State Association of Realtors and Long Island Board of Realtors. Jim is a past president of the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island and served on the MLS Executive Committee and LIBOR's Professional Standards Committee. Accordingly, it is with great pride that we say, "Since 1949, we have been helping people move across town and across country." Jim's unique, personal management, sales and training abilities has moved Netter Real Estate into position as one of the premier, privately owned agencies on Long Island. Sales volume for 2018 was over $165,000,000. Netter Real Estate supports nearly seventy full time/part-time associate brokers and sales associates and a dozen administrative personnel. Our team members have been putting smiles on the faces of clients and customers for many years. Our approach is to meet the clients' needs with personal and professional service. I was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island, Bay shore NY where I still happily reside. I've been practicing Bikram yoga since 2010, and I am a proud supporter of the AFSP. I started my career in the mortgage industry back in 2003. This gave me the knowledge and experience on both ends of a transaction.
I believe to build a solid relationship you need to be personable and professional. I know that in today's complex market many people find themselves confused, and overwhelmed. My goal is to help find the right approach for each individual person, whether you're a first time buyer, investor, looking to trade up, deciding to downsize or simply a location change.
Everything comes with challenges but if we keep laughing through them we'll get to where we want to be!
I’m happy to be a part of the Netter Real Estate family as a Netter Beach Estates Team Member on Fire Island
Allow me To help YOU find the Beach Home of your dreams!
Having the good fortune of spending my years in the Hamlet of Islip has provided a great background to becoming a part of the Netter Real Estate team.
Drawn to a beach lifestyle, but not wanting to be far from my childhood town of West Islip, I chose the beaches of Fire Island to raise my family. I began my real estate career renting homes there. Although there is no place like the beach, there truly is still no place like home, therefore, what better way to spend time then working the South Shore area in real estate.
Since high school graduation, I have been in public service and know how important it is to take the time to listen and help the transition to making one of the largest decisions of your life. Looking for a home on the main land, a rental for the summer, or year round beach living, I can help you from start to finish.

I have worked at Netter Real Estate for over 30 years. Prior to that, I was a Social Studies teacher in the Deer Park school system. I left teaching to raise my two children, and when I tried to return to teaching, there weren’t any positions available. I was on summer vacation from a temporary teaching position when, as a lark, I walked into the local real estate office for an interview. Jimmy was so enthusiastic and encouraging that I decided to take the licensing course. As soon as I completed the course, I started working at the office.
Within a short time I sold my first waterfront house, and from then on I was hooked! I’ve also had the opportunity to branch out into different aspects of the industry. I’ve personally bought and sold properties, both commercial and residential, built and renovated houses and became involved in property management.
Over the years I have sold so many houses, some to my former students! I have made many friends and love working with first time buyers anxious to find their first home, the retirees looking to scale down, and the lucky families who have worked hard and can upgrade to their dream home. Working with people is what I enjoy most.
I consider myself very fortunate to have found a career that I love, and to be able to do what I love for so many years.
